'tis the season of the hearts once again... how do you go from broken to healed in these moments of painful remembrance of a past which you never thought would be unexpectedly hurtful? how do you wear a smile when deep within your heart are wounds which have not fully healed? there are times you still cry, wondering why you never saw it coming or maybe you did but you were just so full of love you chose not to face the pain... where do broken hearts go, sings Whitney Houston and now she's gone.

i do not know the answer to most of my questions nowadays... i only know that in the meantime, i am alive and have the chance to experience love once again... maybe not in the context i would like to go through but maybe in deeper friendships and loving relationships i will have in the future...

i dare not say i am fully healed but that i am being healed day by day, little by little... it amazes me how the Lord in His mercies, allow me to go through such ordeals just to teach me lessons i will remember for the rest of my life... how He takes the broken pieces of my heart and life so that He can restore them but only as i offer them to Him... it is a wonder how the Lord gently wipes away the tears from my eyes.... there are tears but He is there with me in the place of tears...

yes, He can be trusted. He is able. He is God.

features of a true disciple

• regular unhurried time with the God in prayer and Bible study
• guarding the joy of the Lord
• taking our Sabbath rest
• working with the body by delegating responsibilities to others without trying to meet every need
• sacrificially fulfilling our responsibilities to our families
• looking forward to the coming glory which enables us to live with frustration on earth

If you neglect these features, don't even try to die for the cause of the gospel.
